Gerhard Lehmann (* 1960 ) is a German amateur astronomer and asteroid discoverer.

The teacher of physics and astronomy lives in Drebach and teaches at the Zschopau grammar school under his motto: "per aspera ad astra" (over rough paths to the stars).

Between 1998 and 2004 he discovered a total of 24 asteroids , some together with Jens Kandler , André Knöfel and others. He uses the Drebach observatory in Saxony for his observations .

The asteroid (8853) Gerdlehmann was named after him.
