Gerhard Paul (singer)

Gerhard Paul (born April 1, 1949 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian opera singer ( tenor ) and actor .

Life

Gerhard Paul studied acting and singing with Georges Müller in Salzburg, later singing at the opera school of the University of Music and Performing Arts “Mozarteum” Salzburg . In 1977 Paul received an invitation from the Kaminsky Foundation to continue with Ady Werba and Erik Werba's master class for song and opera. 1985 followed another invitation from the "Münchner Singschule", represented by August Everding, to come to the master class of the chamber singer Josef Metternich .

Paul has performed at the Landestheater Salzburg, Stadttheater Luzern (Switzerland), Theater für Vorarlberg, Wiener Kammeroper, Theater St. Pölten, Sommerarena Baden , Stadttheater Kortrijk (Belgium), Theater Göteborg (Sweden), Edinburgh Festival, Salzburg Festival, Theater Ingolstadt, Theater der Rott, Burgfestspiele Wernberg and toured with opera and operetta productions and worked with concerts. He also gave recitation evenings, moderated and was a voice actor in the film.
