Gerhard Petritsch (born September 2, 1940 in Berchtesgaden ) is a former Austrian sports shooter .
successes
Gerhard Petritsch won the bronze medal with the rapid-fire pistol at the World Championships in Seoul in 1978 . He took part in four Olympic Games . 1972 he won in Munich eighth, 1976 in Montreal seventh. At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 he achieved the best result, as did Corneliu Ion and Jürgen Wiefel, with 596 points. In the following jump-off, Ion and Wiefel scored 148 points, while Petritsch only got 146 points and thus received the bronze medal. The 1984 games in Los Angeles , he finished eleventh.
