Gerhard Piaskowy (born October 15, 1943 in Berlin ) is a former German professional boxer who became European champion and German light middleweight champion , his weight class.

career

Gerhard Piaskowy played his first professional fight on May 14, 1964. On February 17, 1968, he was German light middleweight champion with a knockout victory in the eleventh round against Reinhard Dampmann and then defended the title three times.

He became European champion in this weight class on July 16, 1969 by winning points over the Italian Remo Golfarini. He lost his only world championship fight on March 20, 1970 against the US WBC and WBA world champion Freddie Little in Berlin in the light middleweight division over fifteen rounds on points.

Others

After his active career, Piaskowy worked as a game designer . Among other things, he developed new four-sided cubes that he patented.
