Gerhard Rieger (born March 12, 1935 ) is a former German football goalkeeper who played exclusively for FC Bayern Munich and was used in 16 point games in the Oberliga Süd .

Career

At the age of 21, Rieger was a member of the FC Bayern Munich squad, for which he played 14 point games in the 1956/57 season and two point games in the Oberliga Süd again in the 1960/61 season . He made his debut for Bayern on November 25, 1956 (10th matchday) in the 0-1 defeat against Karlsruher SC in the stadium on Grünwalder Strasse . He played his last competitive game for Bayern on April 29, 1961 (30th matchday) in a 2-1 win in the away game against 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 . Gerhard Rieger was honored for 70 years of association membership in 2017. Rieger is an honorary member of FC Bayern Munich.
