Gerhard Rottenwoehrer

Gerhard Rottenwöhrer (born June 7, 1943 in Percha ) is a Catholic priest and theologian .

Life

From 1963 to 1968 he studied Catholic theology at the Philosophical-Theological University of Freising and from 1968 to 1969 at the LMU Munich . From 1969 to 1974 he worked in pastoral care in various parishes in the Archdiocese of Munich-Freising . From 1974 to 1982 he completed a doctoral degree in Catholic theology in Munich . From 1979 he worked at the Institute for Dogmatics. After obtaining his doctorate theologiae in 1982 , he was appointed to the Academic Council a. Z. appointed. After completing his habilitation in dogmatics in 1986, he was awarded the qualification to teach dogmatics. In 1987 he was appointed private lecturer . In 1994 he was appointed adjunct professor . In 2011 he quit teaching.

His research and teaching focuses on the meaning, reception and interpretation of the Basileia tou theou in theology - and church history and the history of the Cathars .
