Gerhard Schenk

Gerhard Schenk (born August 28, 1954 in Friedlos ) is a German economist and politician of the Alternative for Germany party .

Life

After training as an electronics technician at Konrad Zuse KG, later at the German Siemens AG , he worked in the test field for mainframes and then in measuring device development. Schenk is also a fully qualified lawyer and graduate economist. He studied law and economics at the same time in Berlin. Since 1988 Schenk has been running a company that, in addition to Bebra, has rented out vans and trucks and carried out transports from various cities in Hesse, Lower Saxony and Thuringia. Since January 18, he has been a member of the Hessian state parliament of the AfD parliamentary group. He is district spokesman for the AfD Hersfeld-Rotenburg. In the Hessian state elections in 2018 , he ran for position 19 of the AfD in the Rotenburg constituency . He succeeded in entering the Hessian state parliament as a member of parliament . He is married with five grown children and lives with his family in Bebra. In April 2019, he caused a sensation through a possibly anti-constitutional statement against a group of schoolchildren.
