Gerhard Stadler

Gerhard A. Stadler (born July 23, 1956 in Perg ) is an Austrian economic and social historian and professor of industrial archeology, economic and social history at the Institute for Comparative Architectural Research at the Vienna University of Technology .

After studying economic and social history as well as ethnology and philosophy at the University of Vienna , he wrote the dissertation The Defense Industry of the Danube Monarchy and Its Exports to Latin America and has been a research assistant and university lecturer at the Institute for Social and Economic History at the University of Linz since 1986 . He has also worked at the Institute for Art History, Monument Preservation and Industrial Archeology at the Vienna University of Technology since 1990. He has been an associate professor there since 2001 .
