Gerhard Strack (born September 10, 1911 in Deutmannsdorf , Löwenberg district in Silesia , † January 23, 1977 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

From 1967 to 1971 he was first vice-president of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein.

Life and work

After elementary school , Strack completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith . He later attended a technical evening school and trained to become a control engineer. After all, he worked as a production engineer and works manager.

Gerhard Strack was married and had two children.

Political party

Strack joined the SPD in 1930.

MP

From 1954 to 1971 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament . There he was a member of the executive committee of the SPD parliamentary group from 1958 to 1971 and was also deputy chairman of the parliamentary group from 1962 to 1967. From 1958 to 1967 he was also deputy chairman of the committee for electoral examination and from 1967 to 1971 deputy chairman of the committee for safeguarding the rights of the people's representation. On May 16, 1967, he was elected First Vice President of the State Parliament.

Gerhard Strack entered the state parliament in 1958 through the state list and otherwise always as a directly elected member of the Kiel- West constituency .
