Gerhard Vogt (soccer player)
Gerhard Vogt (born November 30, 1933 in Leipzig-Lützschena ; † August 9, 2003 in Strasen ) was a German football player who won the championship in the GDR major league four times with ZSK / ASK and FC Vorwärts Berlin .
career
Associations until 1967
At the beginning of his career, the center forward, equipped with ball technique and wit, did not have a smooth progress on the career ladder. Via Potsdam, Empor Lützschena, he came to ZSK Vorwärts KVP Berlin in 1953. But since he could not prevail, he tried it from February to August 1955 at SC Vorwärts Leipzig. The 1.67 cm tall striker, who was called "Giant" and was a strong attacker with enormous jumping power, went up in sport at the other station at SC and ASG Vorwärts Cottbus , to which he belonged from August 1955 to 1957. In Cottbus in 1956 he was II. League goal scorer in the North season with 19 hits. For the 1958 season he therefore returned to ASK Vorwärts Berlin in the GDR league.
ASK Vorwärts Berlin, 1958 to 1967
In the second attempt, the connection between ASK Vorwärts and Gerhard Vogt was successful. When Vorwärts replaced last year's champions SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt as champions in the 1958 round and relegated SC Motor Jena to 2nd place, Vogt contributed his share in 15 missions with eight goals. With the club's internal striker competition from Horst Assmy , Lothar Meyer , Rolf Fritzsche , Horst coal and Günther Wirth , that was not a matter of course. When Gerhard Vogt ended his playing career at ASK Vorwärts Berlin after the round in 1966/67, he had also been actively involved in winning the championships in 1960, 1962, 1965 and 1966. In total, the offensive player completed 182 GDR league games and scored 63 goals. From 1959 to 1966 he was used in nine European Cup games.
Selection games, 1957 to 1960
Appointments to teams of the German Football Association began in 1957 with the "U 23" team, continued through games in the B national team in 1958 and culminated in four appearances in the national soccer team in 1959 against Indonesia, Portugal and Czechoslovakia. Against Portugal, the center forward was used in the two European Championship qualifiers in the "European Cup of Nations" in Berlin and Porto. In its fourth international match on August 12, 1959 in Leipzig in front of 90,000 spectators in the central stadium, the DFV team won 2-1 goals. On September 16 and 23, 1959, Vogt took part for the GDR in the two German-German play-offs against the German national football team of the DFB amateurs in Berlin and Düsseldorf. The DFB-Elf won both games, but could not assert themselves in the Olympic qualification against Poland. Completion of his international missions for the DFV was the B national team game on December 13, 1960 in Conakry against Guinea. Vogt scored the equalizer to make it 2-2.
Trainer
After his active playing career from 1967, Gerhard Vogt became a trainer for the third-class district division BSG Stahl Hennigsdorf and led the BSG to promotion to the GDR league in 1971 . In 1973 he took over the BSG Chemie Premnitz as a trainer, with whom he was promoted to the GDR league in 1975. In 1978 he returned to Hennigsdorf, but was now the trainer of the third class BSG Motor . Within a year he also made it to the GDR league with this team, but had to relegate in 1982.
