Richtberg (near Kagenow)
The Richtberg near Kagenow in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district is a Bronze Age barrow . It is located in the middle of a field around 1400 meters northeast of Kagenow in the Neetzow district and 1200 meters northwest of Priemen in the Liepen district (both places belong to the municipality of Neetzow-Liepen ). The historical boundary between Kagenow and Priemen runs right through the burial mound .
The burial mound was probably created in the Middle Bronze Age . In the Bronze Age, there were several subsequent burials with overhangs. The hill towers over its surroundings by 3.8 meters and has a diameter of 25 meters.
The field name Rechtsberg indicates the patrimonial jurisdiction of the surrounding manors in the Middle Ages and the early modern period.
