Germanico Pinto

Germánico Alfredo Pinto Troya was Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources of Ecuador from June 8, 2009 to April 20, 2010 .

Germánico Pinto was a member of the Constituent Assembly of Ecuador in 2007/08. In his capacity as Ecuadorian oil minister, Pinto was president of the OPEC ministerial conference from January to April 2010 , who is elected for one year. Prior to that, Pinto served as the deputy of his predecessor in this office, the Angolan Petroleum Minister José Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos, for the 154th and 155th extraordinary meetings of OPEC . Since Germánico Pinto was replaced as Ecuadorian petroleum minister on April 21, 2010 by Wilson Pástor , the extraordinary 158th OPEC meeting was held in Quito under Pástor's direction. After Ecuador, the presidium went to Iran in 2011 , whereby the then Iranian oil minister Masoud Mir Kazemi took office as the successor to Pinto and Pástor , who was replaced by Rostam Ghasemi in the same year .

In July 2010, Pinto took over the management of the city's public works and transport operations in the capital Quito.
