Gernot Weser
Gernot Weser (born December 3, 1938 in Poppitz near Riesa , † July 4, 2015 in Riesa) was a German motorcycle racer .
Career
Gernot Weser began his racing career in 1959 at MC Pneumant Riesa . From 1975 to 1982 he was GDR champion eight times in a row in the 50 cm³ class.
During his career, Weser won the Sachsenring race six times , three times in a row and five times the Schleizer triangle race . Born in Riesa, he ended his active career in 1983 at the international race in Hořice .
Gernot Weser lived in Riesa and worked as a self-employed master locksmith. He was married and has two children.
