Gerry Simpson
Gerry Simpson (born 1963 in Fraserburgh ) is a British-Australian international lawyer.
Life
Gerry Simpson studied law at the University of Aberdeen , the University of British Columbia . He received his PhD from the University of Michigan .
Simpson taught law at the Australian National University from 1995 to 1998 , then from 2000 at the London School of Economics (LSE) and from 2007 to 2015 at the University of Melbourne . He has been Professor of International Law at the LSE since 2016. In 2019 Simpson was elected to the British Academy .
