Gerta Nadenau

Gertrud (called Gerta) Nadenau (born October 14, 1926 in Aachen ; † September 9, 2019 in Aachen) was a volunteer trainer in the diving department of SV Neptun Aachen 1910 .

She began her voluntary work in the 1970s when she accompanied her children Ursula, Gisela and Werner to a training session in the East Hall in Aachen. At that time she was asked to help, which she maintained almost every day into old age. Under her leadership, talented jumpers such as Sascha Klein , the German champion Elke Heinrichs, the Olympic participants Willi Meyer, Kerstin Finke and Monika Kühn began. Her daughter Ursula later made a career under the name Ursula Klinger .

The volunteer work was honored. So is Gerta Nadenau u. a. Winner of the Egidius Braun Prize (2004) and the silver plaque of honor of the NRW Swimming Association (2005).
