Gertraude Mikl-Horke
Gertraude Mikl-Horke (born August 6, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian sociologist .
From 1962 to 1968 she studied commercial science at the University of World Trade in Vienna, received her doctorate in commercial science in 1968 and qualified as a professor in 1977 in general sociology and economic sociology . From 1968 to 1972 Mikl-Horke worked as a lecturer at Japanese universities. Since 1981 she has been Professor of General Sociology and Economic Sociology at the Vienna University of Economics and Business .
One of her main research areas is the historical sociology of the economy .
Mikl-Horke is a member of the Society for Socio-Economic Education and Science (GSÖBW).
