Story for today. Journal of historical and political education (abbreviated gfh ) is from the Association of History Teachers in Germany published journal , the quarterly publishing newsreel appears. It encompasses both historical and historical didactic contributions on historical-political topics and is primarily aimed at the interested specialist audience, scientists and teachers.
The magazine was founded in 2008 and replaced the previous magazines of the national associations for history, politics and didactics (GPD), information for history and social studies teachers and history and politics in schools (GPS).
The individual volumes of the journal each have a thematic focus. In addition, there are contributions from all historical epochs, on educational policy, practical reports and more theoretical contributions. Book reviews and information from the association and its regional associations round off the volumes.
The editorial team of the magazine includes the editor-in-chief Ralph Erbar as well as Ulrich Bongertmann , Joachim Cornelißen, Bernward Fahlbusch , Hans-Joachim Müller, Frank Schweppenstette, Sylvia Semmet, Uwe Walter and Roland Wolf. Former co-editor-in-chief was Gisbert Gemein .
