Friedrich Bernward Fahlbusch

Friedrich Bernward Fahlbusch (born October 16, 1953 in Warendorf ) is a German teacher, historian and publisher (Fahlbusch Verlag, Warendorf).

Life

Bernward Fahlbusch studied history, German literature and philosophy in Münster , Munich and in Freiburg im Üechtland . In 1977 he passed the state examination and, after working as a research assistant, became a Dr. phil. PhD. From 1980 to 1988 he was assistant at the chair for Westphalian regional history at the Westphalian Wilhelms University . From 1992 until his retirement, Fahlbusch worked as a teacher for philosophy, history, Latin and German in the school service.

His areas of work are city history and the history of the Hanseatic Association. He is co-editor of the Lexikons des Mittelalters (subject urban planning) and editor of the series Studies on the Luxembourgers and their time as well as editor of several fascicles in the German and Westphalian city atlas (Wetzlar, Weißenburg, Kulmbach, Telgte, Freckenhorst, Gütersloh). He is also a member of the editorial team of the magazine Geschichte für heute . He is a member of the board of trustees of the Institute for Comparative Urban History at the University of Münster.

From 1989 to 1992 he was a member of the Warendorf City Council and chairman of the FWG's parliamentary group. From November 8, 2007 he sat again on the city council for the FWG, but gave back his mandate after 23 days due to disagreements in the FWG.
