The Geschwendtteich is located on the northeastern edge of Darmstadt , between Darmstadt-Kranichstein and Messel . The lake is approx. 110 m long and approx. 40 m wide. The Geschwendt pond is drained via an overflow into the Silz . The Geschwendtteich belongs to the NSG Silzwiesen.
