The law on cooperation and information in child protection (KKG) is a German federal law. It was passed as Article 1 of the Federal Child Protection Act (BKiSchG) on October 27, 2011 and has been in force since January 1, 2012.

tasks

The KKG accompanies the regulations § 8a Protection mandate in case of child welfare endangerment (new version), § 8b Professional advice and support for the protection of children and young people (new), § 42 Taking into care (new) and § 79a (new) of SGB ​​VIII . The removal according to § 43 as a legal position of SGB VIII was already omitted in 2005 when § 8a was introduced. The law also helps with the implementation of § 1631 and § 1666 BGB .

In addition to the KKG and the Federal Child Protection Act, there are also state child protection laws of individual federal states. The Berlin Child Protection Act has existed since December 17, 2009.
