Gesine Dräger

Gesine Dräger (born April 21, 1968 in Hamburg ) is a politician of the SPD and was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

education and profession

In 1987 Dräger graduated from the Billstedt high school with a high school diploma. This was followed by a degree in economics and mathematics with degrees in business administration, economics and mathematicians. Dräger is currently working as a freelance software developer.

She joined the SPD in 1988 and has been a board member in the SPD district of Fuhlsbüttel since 1994 . From 2000 to 2005 she was a member of the executive board of the SPD district Hamburg-Nord . From 2007 to 2010 she was a member of the state executive committee of the Hamburg SPD.

Gesine Dräger was a member of the parliament from 2001 to 2008 and from 2004 to 2008 deputy chairwoman of the parliamentary group . Dräger was chairwoman of the economic committee of the citizenship and economic policy spokeswoman for her group. Furthermore, she was a member of the budget committee and home affairs committee as well as the parliamentary control committee (protection of the constitution) and in the control bodies for telephone and living space surveillance.

In April 2007 Gesine Dräger announced that she would not be available for another legislative period and would concentrate on her professional career. Since 2008 she has been a deputy to the Department of Economics and Labor.
