Gesine Forberger

Gesine Forberger (* in Neubrandenburg ) is a German opera and operetta singer with a soprano voice .

Live and act

At the age of 11 she began her musical education in her native Neubrandenburg. From 1985 Gesine Forberger studied singing at the Hanns Eisler University of Music with Günther Leib . In 1989 she sang at the Berlin State Opera in the world premiere of the opera Graf Mirabeau by Siegfried Matthus . Engagements at the music stages in Frankfurt, Vienna and Munich followed.

In 1994 the lyric soprano was engaged at the Stadttheater Cottbus , to which she still belongs today and has since been heard and seen in over 50 roles.

In addition to her stage presence, Gesine Forberger also works as an oratorio and song interpreter.

The soprano is married and has two children.

Award

In 1997 Gesine Forberger received the Max Grünebaum Prize, which was first awarded that year by the Max Grünebaum Foundation in Cottbus.
