Gesine Froese

Gesine Froese (* 1947 in Rendsburg ) is a German journalist and freelance author .

She began her career as a business administration student in Nuremberg , where she also worked as a mannequin . In 1969 she was invited by Susann Katoll to take part in the Miss Germany 1969 election in Munich . The victory included the obligation to sign autographs for Opal's customers in Germany for a year and to present itself to the local press.

At the end of the Miss Year, she completed training as an editor under Wolf Heckmann , the then editor-in-chief of the Hamburger Morgenpost . She then completed a course of study for teaching at elementary and secondary schools at the University of Oldenburg without giving up writing. After the first teacher examination, she was employed by ZEIT as an editor. Later she joined the Deutsche Allgemeine Sunday newspaper and Stern before the end of 1991 as a freelance correspondent for Caribbean and Latin America with offices in Bogotá and then in Cartagena (Colombia) independently made.

Gesine Froese has been working as a freelance writer in Germany since 1995.
