We are looking for ... was an investigative documentary series that was primarily dedicated to investigative journalism. It was produced by Westdeutscher Rundfunk for ARD .
TV format
The topics of the series of reports for which Werner Filmer was responsible were explosive and often led to legal disputes. As an author , the journalist also makes his research transparent. As he investigated possible scandals, he let the audience participate in the exposure step by step. The show's theme was always part of its title, e.g. B. "What is wanted ... a cause of death".
Awards
Reports in the series received an Adolf Grimme Prize five times.
- 1986 Felix Kuballa ( Silver Adolf Grimme Prize ) for "Wanted is ... Josef Mengele" on the carefree post-war life of the former camp doctor at Auschwitz
- 1987 Gert Monheim ( Adolf Grimme Prize with gold) for "... a cause of death" about a drug whose deadly danger was ignored in Germany
- 1989 Gert Monheim ( Adolf Grimme Prize with silver) for "... poison in the workplace" about grossly negligent handling of environmental toxins
- 1989 Felix Kuballa ( Adolf Grimme Prize with bronze) for "... a cause of a crash" on the true background of an airplane accident
- 1996 Wilfried Huismann Adolf Grimme Prize for "... the secret of the 1972 Olympia assassination"
