Get the Knack is the debut album of the California rock band The Knack from 1979. The album was released on the Capitol Records label . The album features the hit My Sharona, written by Doug Fieger and Berton Averre .

The album was recorded within two weeks in April 1979, cost only 18,000 dollars . The album was produced by Mike Chapman , who had previously written hits for The Sweet and produced the hit album Parallel Lines by Blondie .
