Morgenstern union
Morgenstern union was the name of two different unions under mining law for the prospecting and extraction of hard coal and iron ore ,
- The Morgenstern union in Mülsen near Zwickau in Saxony was established in 1889 from the Morgenstern Sarfert & Wiede coal works . It operated the Martin Hoop hard coal works in the Zwickau hard coal area until nationalization .
- The Morgenstern union in Hanover was founded in 1922 and had the right to extract iron stones from Klein Döhren , in the municipality of Liebenburg in Lower Saxony . The field was transferred to the Salzgitter trade union in 1935 and mining began in the Morgenstern pit in 1938 by the raw material operations of the United Steelworks AG .
