Ghassan Massoud

Ghassan Massoud (born September 20, 1958 in Damascus ) is a Syrian film actor .

Life

Massoud studied in Finland and Germany for many years before returning to his home country, Syria. There he graduated from the College of Theater Arts, where he also worked as a professor for ten years .

Massoud was a co-founder of the Arabic - African Center for Theater Research, based in Tunisia .

At the same time, the married Massoud, who has two children, works as a professor at the theater school in Damascus.

It was not until 2005 that he was discovered by director Ridley Scott for his monumental film Kingdom of Heaven , in which Massoud played the historical figure of Saladin . The following year he played a supporting role in the Turkish film Valley of the Wolves - Iraq .

Massoud played another role as the Ottoman corsair prince in Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End , and most recently he stood alongside Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton in Exodus: Gods and Kings as one of Ramses ' advisors in front of the camera.
