Gheorghe Gheorghiu
Gheorghe Gheorghiu (born January 1, 1954 in Brașov ) is a Romanian singer .
biography
His musical talent was recognized at school at the age of six and he then attended the music school in Brașov and studied violin and guitar.
In 1975 he won the Grand Prix at the first national folk music festival. Gheorghiu then gave concerts all over the country and in 1984 released his first record Să fii tânăr . After the revolution , concert tours also took him abroad, to Israel, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Canada and the United States. The refrain of his greatest hit Unde dragoste nu e, nimic nu e was covered by Delia in 2016 in the song 1234 (Unde dragoste nu e) .
In 2013 Gheorghiu was made an honorary citizen of Brașov.
