The Ghiacciaio Mushroom ( Italian - English for mushroom glacier ) is a 1.7 km long glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Deep Freeze Range , it opens 4 km northwest of the summit of Mount Levick in a southerly direction towards the Priestley Glacier .
Italian scientists named it in 2002 after its shape, in which it widens from a narrow head end to a dome-shaped mouth.
