Patrick Sofian Ghigani (born March 16, 1978 in Munich ) is a German football player of Tunisian origin and has been a football coach since 2013 .

Career

Ghigani played in his youth at DJK München-Nord , SpVgg Feldmoching , TSV 1860 Munich and TSV Milbertshofen , before moving to the Tunisian first division club Africain via FC Aschheim . In Tunis he then completed his first two professional years, where he was Tunisian runner-up and made it to the finals in the African cup winners' competition, only to fail there against the Kaizer Chiefs from South Africa. In 2002/03 he then moved to LR Ahlen on a free transfer . Due to two broken feet, the midfielder only made one appearance in the second Bundesliga within a season and moved to Kickers Emden and in June 2004 back to Tunisia, to Stade Tunisien . After a very successful season in Tunisia's upper house, he returned to Germany on a free transfer. In the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons Ghigani played for SpVgg Unterhaching in the 2nd Bundesliga, where he was in the kicker team of the year for the first year. Ghigani made a total of 48 appearances in the league and five more in the DFB Cup and scored three goals for the "Hachinger". After the descent of SpVgg Unterhaching, Ghigani was initially without a club before signing with the southern regional division SC Pfullendorf in January 2008 . On January 1, 2009 Ghigani signed with the Greek third division club AS Rhodos and played there until June 2009, then moved within Greece on July 1, 2009 to Argos to Panargiakos . Only six months later, on January 1, 2010 Ghigani moves again within Greece to league rivals Panegialios from Aigio.

Ghigani made a total of 41 competitive games in Greece, scoring six goals, but primarily shone as a template provider, which German coach Uwe Erkenbrecher certainly took into account when he lured him to Indonesia in early January 2011. There Ghigani played from January 1, 2011 at Cendrawasih Papua FC in the LPI (Liga Premier Indonesia), which was founded by an oil billionaire, under head coach Erkenbrecher and led his team as captain on the field. In October 2011 Ghigani moved to Persiraja Banda Aceh, 6500 km further north-west, and is now playing in the Indonesian Premier League . During the winter break of 2012/13 Ghigani returned to his home club, SpVgg Feldmoching , and played in the Oberbayern Nord district league. From 2013 to 2017 he was player-coach in the district league at TSV Geiselbullach-Neu-Esting . In 2018 he moved back to Indonesia, where he trained Persijap Jepara for one season .
