Ghost Beach (German: Geisterstrand ) is a New York electropop duo founded in 2013 and consisting of Josh Ocean and guitarist Eric Mendelsohn. Their musical influences go back in particular to the eighties pop from bands such as Tears for Fears , Talking Heads or The Police . For their songs they mainly use analog synthesizers, but also modern technology that the computer offers, and are therefore very similar to bands such as Passion Pit and Cut Copy . The band name was based on the children's book Goosebumps .

Their first releases were given away as a marketing strategy, mostly on a monthly basis, which eventually resulted in more and more people buying their songs. The two gained their first stage experience not only in the opening act for Chad Vallay and RAC, but also at Tomorrowland . In 2014 her first album with her previously published songs was released on the label Nettwerk / Soulfood under the title Blonde .
