Ghurian ( Pashto / Dari :غوریان) is a city in Afghanistan .
geography
It is located in the province of Herat , south-west of the city of Herat , in the center of the Ghurian district and near the city of Putu .
According to the 2002 census, the population was more than 54,000.
traffic
In spring 2019, Ghurian was the head of operations on the Torbat-e Heidarije – Herat railway line, which was under construction . The extension to Herat began on February 21, 2019.
The Mashhad – Herat motorway runs nearby.
