The Ghyll Head Reservoir is a reservoir in the Lake District , Cumbria , England .
The lake is located south of Windermere and east of Lake Windermere . The Seaves Beck and Summersty Beck form its tributary in the south. The Ghyll Head Beck forms its drain to the north.
The lake was created as a drinking water reservoir for the village of Windermere, but it is only used for this purpose in extreme drought and serves as a fishing pond.
