Gianfrancesco Lazotti (born March 2, 1957 in Rome ) is an Italian film and television director and screenwriter .

Life

Lazotti studied at the DAMS at the University of Bologna , but dropped out to work as an assistant director to Dino Risi , Carlo Vanzina and Francesco Massaro . He also worked for advertising films. His first independent directorial work broadcast on Italian television was Piazza Navona: Il mitico Gianluca from 1988, the first episode of a television film series named after Piazza Navona in Rome with Marcello Mastroianni in the lead role. In addition to numerous subsequent television works and three cinema productions, Non so se rendo preciso was Lazotti's theatrical debut in 1993 .

Being on Canale 5 radiated prime time television film Finalmente a casa from 2008, one on the sitcom Finalmente soli -based, 100-minute comedy, achieved a market share of 19%. His film Dalla vita in poi from 2010 won the Special Grand Prix of the jury at the World Film Festival 2010 in Montréal as well as other prizes at the historic Taormina Film Fest in Taormina .
