Gianluca Luisi

Gianluca Luisi (* 1970 in Pescara ) is an Italian pianist .

Life

After completing his piano studies at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica "Gioachino Rossini" in 1991 with the title " summa cum laude ", he began a lively concert activity that took him beyond European countries to the USA and regularly to Japan. At the invitation of major music associations and at festivals throughout Europe, he played a. a. in Carnegie Hall in New York and in Vienna in the Musikverein. After winning the European Prize for Piano Didactics, he began teaching at the Imola Piano Academy .

Since 2011 Luisi has been artistic director of the “Nuova Coppa Pianisti” piano competition in Osimo .

Gianluca Luisi is a Bösendorfer artist.

Gianluca Luisi has a broad piano repertoire from all eras, including the entire piano works of JS Bach. Luisi has recorded 16 CDs for the labels Naxos, MDG, OnClassical and Centaur (JSBach “ The Well-Tempered Clavier ”).
