The Gibbs Point is a headland on the northeast coast of Horseshoe Iceland before Fallières coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the northeast boundary of the entrance to Gaul Cove .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 2009 after George Washington Gibbs Jr., (1916-2000), participant in the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941) and involved in the establishment of the bases in the Bay of Whales and on Stonington Island .
