Type series of Sardinian-Corsican monuments

The giant grave of Perdu Pes, northwest of Paulilatino in the province of Oristano in Sardinia, is in poor condition. The buildings called “Tumbas de sos zigantes” in Sardu and “Tombe dei Giganti” in Italian (plur.) Are the largest prenuraghic cult structures in Sardinia and are among the latest megalithic structures in Europe . The 321 known giant tombs are monuments of the Bronze Age Bonnanaro culture (2,200-1,600 BC), the precursor culture of the Nuragher. Structurally, giant tombs appear in two variants. The systems with portal steles and exedra are of the older type.

Only a few blocks of the chamber and exedra are in situ , while a large number of stones have been built into the adjacent stone walls, which is partially visible. Among them is a large block belonging to the semicircular apse . Three frustoconical Baityloi ( Betili in Italian ) with a height of about 1.5 m and a diameter of 60–80 cm on the right side of the chamber are interesting . One of the betili has a round indentation of uncertain importance in the middle of the top. The central betili was overturned in an unknown time and turned into a cattle trough.

Nearby are the fountain sanctuary of Santa Cristina and the giant tombs of Bidil 'e Pira Goronna and Muraguada .
