Gigi Martin
Gigi Martin (born September 29, 1935 in Munich ) is a German writer and journalist who is best known for her erotic novels and short stories .
Life
Gigi Martin grew up in Hamburg . She received dance training and took acting lessons from Ida Ehre . In 1953 she made her debut as an actress at Hamburger Theater 53 , a small private theater that specialized in productions by contemporary authors. Subsequently, she also played small film roles (e.g. in Young Man, Who Can Do Everything , 1957, with Georg Thomalla in the leading role) and worked as a mannequin and model . In later years she worked as a journalist in France and as a copywriter for advertising agencies.
Martin was one of the first women authors who followed up on the tradition of the lesbian romance novel in Germany after the Second World War . Already her first novel Pass over if you can ... ( 1960 ) depicts the love of a 17-year-old girl for her friend. The work, for which the prominent literary critic Willy Haas wrote a foreword, caused a sensation, was published several times and translated into Dutch.
