Gijang-gun ( Korean 기장군 ) is one of the 16 districts and the only gun (county) within Busan . It is the easternmost and largest district in terms of area in the city. The district borders the Geumjeong-gu and Haeundae-gu districts and is considered to be the most rural district of Busan.

Culture

The Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is located directly on the coast.

The Haedong Yonggungsa Buddhist temple , which is a popular tourist destination and is ceremoniously decorated for Buddha's birthday, is located on the coast of the Gijang district .

The furniture company IKEA opened its fourth shop in South Korea in 2020 and the first outside of Seoul in Gijang-gun.
