In hip-hop jargon, Cypher describes a group freestyle in which the artists perform their parts one after the other or alternately. Unlike a battle, your goal is not always to find the best.
The film was first shown on January 1, 2020 at the University of Southern California. In mid-April 2020, the student film should be shown as part of the Tribeca Film Festival's short film competition . One month before the start of the festival, it was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, the film was made available online from April 15-26, 2020, the festival's original time slot.
