Gijs van Solkema (born May 21, 1998 ) is a Dutch volleyball player .
Career
Solkema began his career in 2013 with third division club VC Sneek . In 2014, the setter , whose uncle Arno van Solkema was active as a trainer among other things at the Solingen Volleys , switched to Talent Team Papendal , with whom he played in the Dutch premier league. He has also been part of the Dutch national junior team since 2013. In 2017 he was signed by the German Bundesliga club SVG Lüneburg .
