history

The volleyball department of TSG Solingen, which has existed for over 40 years, took over the men's second division place from Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 2011 . In the first two seasons in Solingen, the team reached third place in the second Bundesliga North . In the 2015/16 season Solingen was champion of the second Bundesliga north and rose to the 1st Bundesliga . In the following season Solingen was last, but was allowed to remain in the Bundesliga due to a lack of promoted players. There was a complete change in personnel for the 2017/18 season. After they could not prevent relegation, they withdrew to the Third League West .
