Huib den Boer (born November 11, 1981 in Oud-Beijerland ) is a Dutch volleyball player .

Career

Den Boer started his volleyball career in 1987 in his hometown at DVO Oud-Beijerland. He was then trained in the youth team of Spivo Spijkenisse before moving to Alcom Capelle in 2000 . In 2003 he moved to Germany and made promotion to the first Bundesliga with Moerser SC . The following season was less successful for the Boer. In his home country of the Netherlands, he finished last in the league with Rijnmond Volleybal. He then returned to the Bundesliga and played for Bayer Wuppertal for a year . In 2006 he moved to SG Eltmann . In 2009, the cup winner Generali Haching signed the Dutch player. With the Boer, Haching also won the DVV Cup in 2010, 2011 and 2013 ; in addition, Bayern were runner-up in the 2009/10 and 2011/12 seasons. Since summer 2013 den Boer has been concentrating on his job in the IT industry. Since 2014 he has been back at the second division TSG Solingen Volleys . With the club, he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2016. Boer has been the second team's player-coach since 2017.
