Gil da Cruz Trindade

Gil da Cruz Trindade (born March 1, 1982 ) is a marathon runner from East Timor .

As one of two athletes in his country, he took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens thanks to a wildcard . This marked the first time East Timor had sent athletes to the Olympics as an independent nation. Cruz Trindade did not reach the goal in the marathon competition.

His best marathon time is given by the International Association of Athletics Federations as 2:49:00.
