Gilbert Heron Miller (born July 3, 1884 in New York City , New York , † January 2, 1969 ibid) was an American theater director , theater producer and theater owner.

Gilbert Miller was the son of British- born theater producer Henry Miller (1859-1926) and Bijou Heron , a former child actress . After spending his school years in the UK, he returned to the United States to become a Broadway producer like his father . Miller owned and directed the Henry Miller's Theater on New York's Broadway and St James's and Lyric Theaters in London's West End . He was the head of the League of New York Theaters and was active in the Actors Fund of America.

He achieved his greatest performance success in 1935 with Victoria Regina by Laurence Housman with Helen Hayes in the title role. Miller won the US theater and musical award Tony Award for Best Play in 1950 for his production of The Cocktail Party by TS Eliot . In 1965 he received a Special Tony Award for "producing 88 plays and musicals and for his perseverance in keeping New York and the theater alive."

Miller was married three times, first to actress Jessie F. Glendinning, with whom he had daughter Dorothy, then to Mary Margaret Allen. His third wife was Kathryn Bache (1896–1979), the daughter of Wall Street banker Jules Bache, a theater patron. They married in Paris in 1927 .

Gilbert Miller died in 1969 and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx . Miller's estate is cared for by the Library of Congress in Washington, DC .
