Wolfgang Walter Gruber (* August 1589 in Neuburg an der Donau ; † 1655 ) was a German lawyer and professor and rector at the University of Tübingen .
Life
Wolfgang Walter Gruber went to the Lauinger Gymnasium illustrious. In 1624 he enrolled at the University of Tübingen. There he completed a law degree and was awarded a Dr. iur. utr. PhD. 1639–1652 he was a full professor of law in Tübingen. In 1652 he became a Württemberg councilor. In 1643, 1645/46 and 1650 he was rector of the University of Tübingen. His portrait, probably painted by Johann Weidner in 1649 , hangs in the professors' gallery in Tübingen .
