The Gilgen Logistics AG is a Swiss general contractor for logistics systems overall. With 145 employees and a turnover of more than CHF 75 million developing, manufacturing and the company sells complete solutions with proprietary products for services, trade and industry: automatic conveyor systems , storage systems and fully automated high-bay warehouse (HRL), stacker cranes (RBG), automation , IT Solutions, warehouse management systems (WMS), loading systems and special devices.

history

As a one-man business, Jakob Gilgen Senior manufactured the first automatic drives for gates individually in a garage in 1961. The first conveyor systems and automatic letterbox emptying systems for Swiss Post were implemented in 1967. In 1993, Gilgen Fördersysteme AG was founded as a subsidiary of Gilgen Holding AG. The establishment and expansion of customer service in Brislach BL (takeover of Hugo Fritschi AG in Brislach and D-Dortmund) took place in 1997. The automation area was expanded in 2000 with the takeover of Baertschi Engineering AG, Suhr.

Today Gilgen Logistics AG (until 2005 Gilgen Fördersysteme AG) has passed into the 2nd generation. On March 1, 2020, Jakob Gilgen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gilgen Logistics AG, took over the position of CEO. Daniel Gilgen - in the third generation of the owner family - took over the systems business area on January 1, 2020.
