Gilles Rozier (born March 10, 1963 in La Tronche in the Arrondissement of Grenoble ) is a French writer and translator .

Life

Rozier learned Hebrew and Yiddish from Rachel Ertel and initially worked in a Parisian department store chain. His enthusiasm for these languages ​​led him to do a doctorate in Yiddish literature. Until 2014 he was director of the Paris House for Yiddish Culture . In 2015 he founded the publishing house Éditions de l'Antilope with Anne-Sophie Dreyfus.

In 2006 he received the Spycher: Literaturpreis Leuk together with Gerhard Falkner .
