Gintautas Mažeikis
Gintautas Mažeikis (born January 14, 1964 in Vorkuta , Komi Republic , Russia ) is a Lithuanian philosopher and professor .
Life
From 1972 to 1975 Mažeikis studied in the Lingailiai elementary school of the Šiauliai Rajongemeinde and from 1975 to 1979 at the 4th school in Šiauliai and from 1979 to 1983 in the Šiauliai Polytechnic . From 1983 to 1986 he did the compulsory service in Kola with the Northern Fleet of the Soviet Army . From 1986 to 1991 Mažeikis completed his diploma in philosophy at the University of Leningrad and from 1992 to 1996 his doctorate at the Vilniaus universitetas . He did his doctorate on "Renesanso simbolinis mąstymas". From 1991 to 1992 he worked at the Vilniaus universitetas. From 1992 Mažeikis taught at the Šiaulių universitetas and from 2000 to 2008 headed the Center of Cultural Anthropology . He heads the chair for social and political theory at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas in Kaunas .
