Giorgio Ariani

Giorgio Ariani (born May 26, 1941 in Ferrara , † March 5, 2016 in Empoli ) was an Italian comedian and actor .

Life

Ariani grew up in Florence and devoted himself to cabaret after leaving school. Television gave him the opportunity to present his monologues, which were characterized by good-naturedness but also sarcasm and friendliness , in programs such as Buccie di banana , Supersera or Ci pensiamo lunedì . Tall and broad, he also gave imitations of Oliver Hardy (alongside Enzo Garinei as Stan Laurel ). Especially at the beginning of the 1980s, he was seen in some movies. In the 1980s he also played theater with Gino Bramieri and Paola Quattrini .

He also worked as a voice actor and established himself as a character actor in the new millennium.
